ITINERARY

Our tour guide and driver will come and pick up at the hotel.  Drive to downtown area and walk around the Bandoola Park to get family photo in front of the iconic Independent monument. After that we will visit to Yangon Zoo – the oldest in Southeast Asia over 110 years old. It was commissioned in 1901 as a memorial to the late Queen Victoria. It is located in prime location with the diversify of nearly 200 collected species of animals and big shady trees.

After family lunch we will drive to ‘Amazing Grace’. This is a social enterprise training people with hearing and physical disabilities to make handmade fashion accessories using recycled materials.   Take part in a 1-hour crafts workshop led by one of the trainers to produce a lovely piece of male or female jewellery. Children can do a fun painting activity on small papier-mâché animals so make sure they’re dressed to get a bit messy. All these personally-made handicrafts can be taken back home as a souvenir for a personal touch.

From here, a private car will transfer to the fabulous Bogyoke Market. Also known as Scott Market, the building is filled with stalls selling local handicrafts such as marionettes, lacquerware and jewelry.  From market we will drive to Shwe Pa Zun, a popular sweet shop which sells an array of homemade treats and ice cream.

In around 4:30 PM we will transfer you to ‘Htwe Oo Myanmar’ for a traditional puppet show at 17:00.  The unique show lasts around one hour and gives the audience an intimate opportunity to see the puppeteers work their magic.  There is also a chance to get ‘hands-on’ and try the skillful work at the end of the performance.  Take a family photo- a perfect snapshot of the memorable day in Yangon.
