There is no better way to experience Yangon’s life than a ride on the city’s circular train.  Ride the Yangon circle train for a slow journey through the suburban outskirts, observing scenes of daily life and meeting friendly locals.

ITINERARY

Tour guide and driver will come and pick you up at the hotel.  Be immersed in the everyday life of Myanmar’s largest city with an insightful half-day guided tour of Yangon. Ride the Yangon circle train which runs from Yangon’s main railway station in a circle around various neighborhoods in town and on the outskirts of town.  Sit alongside local commuters, watching as vendors hop on and off to sell snacks and cold drinks to the passengers. Gaze out the windows to observe the lively streets while the train slowly chugs along.

After around 45 minutes disembark in Insein Township. One of the city’s best fresh markets, filled with vendors and piles of colorful items for sale. Spend time walking amid the stalls examining the fruits, produce and meats on sale as well as chatting with the friendly locals.

Then transfer by car back to the city centre of Yangon.  Take a short walking tour through Chinatown and Little India.
